Research Technician in Molecular and Cellular Biology (100%)
The Laboratory studies molecular signaling pathways regulated by oxygen and nutrient availability and the role these pathways play in organelle homeostasis (e.g., peroxisomes, autophagy), normal tissue homeostasis and cancer. Our approaches involve a broad range of molecular, cellular and genomic methods and the construction of mouse models of human cancers that recapitulate key characteristics of tumorigenesis with a current focus on pancreatic, kidney and liver cancer. We also utilize various screening modalities to translate our findings into potential new treatments for human cancer. We offer an interesting and versatile position in an international team and modern laboratory dedicated to biomedical research and continuous education.

Job description: In the frame of our research activities, the successful candidate will primarily be involved in experimentally supporting ongoing research projects through application of a variety of different molecular, biochemical, histological, and cell biological techniques and methods (e.g., processing mouse tissues/tumors, isolation of primary cells). He/she will also maintain specific databases, develop new tools and be involved in implementing and executing new experimental technologies. Knowledge of oral and written English is essential.

Requirement profile: The candidate will have qualified experience in molecular and cellular biology and enticed to work in a collaborative and communicative environment. Previous experience working with mice is certainly appreciated. He/she should be highly motivated, should possess very well-developed experimental skills and be able to execute experiments in a well-organized and precise manner. Interest in team-oriented work is essential.
We look forward to receiving your online application including the following documents: A full CV, statement of experience and qualification (one page) and names of three referees.
